Labs are due a week from when you did them.

Lab Report Outline:

    Lab Cover Sheet

Use the sample cover sheet as a model for all lab report cover sheets. Update information for each lab.

Only list team members that participated in the lab.

    Results

Figures and tables that clearly show what your results are.  Remember to label all your tables and figures.  Labels go above on tables, and below on  figures.  You also need to introduce tables and figures that appear in your report.  I need to know what you are trying to show or explain.

    Discussion of Results

Answer the questions from the handout in paragraph form (this means not to label your sentences, example: 1) the answer to question one is…).  This section should be a fluent discussion of the conclusions you have made from your results.

    Calculations

        Show examples of all calculations

These can be written by hand and attached to the back of the laboratory report.  (make it neat and easy to follow)

            For Example:

“The values of pressure in Table 1 were calculated from the Equation: P = gh, where g is the specific weight of the liquid,   h is the depth.

               Example: P = (62.4 lb/ft^3)(1 in)(1ft/ 12 in)

Final notes from your TA:

All raw data and hand calculations should be attached to the back of the report.

Although these reports will not be lengthy, they should be professional.  Anyone should be able to pick up your report and be able to follow what you did in your report, how you did it, why you did it, and what conclusions you made about your experiment.
